Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? Or when did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you? And answering the king will say to them, “Amen I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of my brethren, you did it for me.” - Matthew 25:37-40
An education at Catholic of Pointe Coupee enables and challenges students to grow in their faith, serving our school and our community.
Catholic IdentityBuilding upon the deep foundation that started our school in 1904 planted by The Sisters St. Joseph of Medialle and the Sisters of The Holy Ghost, our school continues to provide a holistic education that begins with the values offered Catholic Faith. The celebration of the Holy Mass, prayer at the beginning and close of each school day, as well as opportunities to deepen personal faith in the devotional life of The Church guide our students and faculty through each moment on campus.
Christian Service
As part of their religious formation, middle and high school students must participate in a service hour program. Service hours are required in the areas of school, church, community, and family. We require 100-125 service hours for graduation.
These real-life experiences can be more powerful than classroom lessons. The relationships built and the conversations that occur during the service experiences encourage young people to greater depths of self-reflection, and therefore, a greater understanding of themselves and their connectedness with all of God’s people.
